About The Game

Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core features a cooperative first-person shooter for 1-4 players, navigating procedurally generated underground environments. The gameplay includes roguelite elements, with characters starting each mission with basic gear and working together to grow in strength as the mission progresses. The heroes assume the roles of dwarves who belong to the Reclaimers, a designated security force sent to combat alien organisms in captured mining facilities.

Teamwork is key to acquiring upgraded gear and abilities found in mission areas. In Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core, communication with the mining operations on the planet Hoxxes has been cut off due to a phenomenon called The Grayout. This event has isolated the dig sites, necessitating the intervention of a unit of Reclaimers. Their goal is to secure the mines and gather information from the deep, unexplored regions near the planet’s core.

These underground landscapes are now occupied by creatures called Core Spawn, which the player must confront. The mission dictates that combatants start with limited resources, primarily a pickaxe, as the Eclipse Barrier prevents the deployment of standard weaponry. Players must therefore scavenge for weapons and other useful equipment in the immediate environment of the facility during their expedition. Resource gathering includes Expinite, a material used to craft upgrades on the go.
