Forgive Me Father — is an old-school first-person shooter. The game was developed by the independent Polish studio Byte Barrel and published by 1C Entertainment. Forgive me Father takes us on a journey into the world of Lovecraft’s work, filled with monsters from the worst nightmares. During the game we play as a priest or a journalist who eliminates many opponents, trying to find answers to their questions and trying not to go crazy on the rest. During the game, we roam across different locations and destroy hordes of enemies. On our way, there are various creatures, for example, massively appearing living corpses or liquidators, similar to human-octopus hybrids.

We send them into the sand using mostly firearms like a pistol, shotgun, or machine gun and gadgets like throwing knives. In addition, on the battlefield, we use special skills that we discover as we progress. It is worth remembering that a priest and a journalist have different powers. However, when all else fails, there is nothing stopping you from trying to cover your opponents with a broom. During encounters, we must pay attention to the level of insanity of our character, because it has to do with both audiovisual and gameplay. Since this game is based on the old school of FPS creation, we have to look for first aid kits along the way, and firearms do not require reloading.

The colorful graphics of Forgive me Father are made using the village shading technique. An interesting approach is placing enemy sprites in 3D locations. The impression of interacting with a moving comic strip is enhanced by subtitles that appear on the screen at specific points for example, headshot after a precision headshot or boom after an impressive explosion.

How to Install the Game
