Utawarerumono Mask of Truth is a Japanese tactical role-playing game with a visual novel developed and published by Aquaplus, and the latest release from the Utawarerumono trilogy. He focuses on the fate of the two countries Yamato and Tuskuru, the truth about the masks and all the unanswered questions from the previous part. After the events of Mask of Deceit, the Yamato Empire is now ruled by the iron fist of a ruthless usurper who seeks to subjugate everything before him. This is due to several familiar faces to unite against the power of the Imperial Army, and the fate of the world is in balance, as nations and generals must choose the side that can be fought in this dangerous civil war. Turn-based tactics allow you to return, and an updated combat system allows you to fight both strategically and quickly. Use the new extended Action Chains, some characters can combine with Co-op Final and Co-op Chain attacks. There is also a Mock Battle mode that can be used to train new battle tactics and enhance EXP / BP.

Utawarerumono Mask of Deception is a combination of a visual novel and an adventure game with a traditional tactical RPG. The project is a continuation of the original Utawarerumono, which was released in 2002 on a PC, and then received conversions for the PlayStation 3 and PSP consoles. However, none of these versions has been officially released in the West. Leaf studio and Aquaplus are responsible for creating the game. Utawarerumono Mask of Deception was released in Japan in 2015 and represents the first part of the dilogy, the events of which unfold in a fantasy world modeled on medieval Japan.
