HorrorVale belongs to the JRPG genre. The indie project uses 2D pixel-map style graphics. The role-playing game is made on the RPG Maker engine, but instead of anime drawing, it has its own author’s style. The camera has three angles. When exploring the world in real time, it is located on top and at an angle or side. And turn-based battles take place in the first person. Team members are displayed in battles on the screen only when performing actions. Instead of mana, fear points are used. Up to 3 creatures can take part in duels. There are 30 playable characters in total.
