The Persistence is a virtual reality glasses game that is a hybrid of survival horror and bagel. The game takes players to 2521, when interstellar flights become part of people’s daily lives. One takes on the role of a crew member of a titular spaceship sent deep into space to conduct an experiment on a dying star, which is about to turn into a black hole. During the study, an accident occurred, as a result of which most crew members were seriously injured. Trying to save the situation, the on-board computer IRIS restores their bodies, however, as a side effect, members of the wounded crew members are being modified. At this point, the main character enters the game after he wakes up from hibernation. The player is faced with the task of finding a way to turn on the engines again so that he can escape to safer parts of the universe.
