Hexarchy — you will have to build entire cities. erect buildings, create armies and whole wonders of the world, research a variety of technologies, develop economically and geopolitically, and do much, much more. Each time in Hexarchy you will have to make decisions about which technology to develop and research, which city to develop, how to develop civil society, and more. And many different factors will depend on each of your decisions, including the speed of development and the impact on the map as a whole. And of course, it could not do without conquest. Moreover, you yourself will decide how to build relationships with other civilizations. You can trade with them, or attack some of them, you can build diplomatic relations or fight for territories. You decide. The main thing is to carefully weigh all your decisions and provide for the consequences.
