Merge Games and Jankenteam are responsible for the updated version of the game. Alex Kidd in the Miracle World DX tells Alex’s story. One day, a student studying martial arts learns the story of the abduction of the Thunder King’s heir by the evil Yanken, who captured the Radaxian city and its environs. The hero discovers that he is the missing son of the deposed ruler, and goes to save his kingdom. The original Alex Kidd in the Miracle World DX was a typical 2D side-scrolling platformer.
