Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl — first released in 2006, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl launched a new generation of Pokemon games on the Nintendo DS. With themes of evolution and creation woven into history, redesigned new Pokémon found in the Sinnoh region, and newly discovered evolutionary lines of fan-favorite monsters, these games seemed like a notable step forward for the franchise. By remaking these classics, new Pokemon developer ILCA is proving it can recreate the franchise’s key tenants. For the most part, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are faithful remakes of what The Pokemon Company likes to call their DS games of the same name.
