TRUE SKATE, the goal of this game was to be a skate simulator more like a session than skateboard or city hawk games. This game is hard, but not so sessional that it’s a little easier to fall behind in that sense. But if you’re expecting this game to be similar to skateboarding or Tony Hawk, it won’t satisfy you in that sense, as landing tricks can seem more tedious compared to those games. The controls will be different from anything you might be used to, as it was originally a mobile game and most of you are used to flicking sticks and pressing buttons, this new setup requires learning to do so. The fun doesn’t really start until you get the hang of the play style, which can be a little confusing. For some, the need to actually play a game well in order to have fun can be lame. TRUE SKATE has its bugs and feels very broken at times, but it’s still in early access at the time of this review, but it kinda adds to the character in a weird way. If your balls are tripping, this game is going to be a blast for you right now.
