Era 1 — Pama-Nyungan (Aesthete). The Pama-Nyungan era marks a significant cultural and linguistic expansion in Australia during the mid-Holocene era. The Pama-Nyungan speakers, who spread across most of Australia’s vast territory, not only brought their diverse languages and social structures but also introduced new artistic and cultural practices. As they settled and thrived, they left an indelible mark on the continent’s landscape. Era 2 — Polynesians (Expansionist) In the final centuries of the first millennium BCE, the islands of Tonga, Samoa, and Uvea emerged as the cradle of Polynesian culture. In this vast expanse of ocean, the Polynesians honed innovative navigation techniques that enabled them to embark on ambitious Pacific conquests. Their seafaring prowess forever changed the course.

Era 3 — Rapa Nui (Builder). Around the 1100s, the Rapa Nui people undertook the remarkable colonization of Easter Island. In the face of challenging conditions, they demonstrated incredible resourcefulness, making use of the island’s mineral wealth to craft monumental statues and ceremonial structures that continue to mystify and inspire to this day. Era 4 — Māori (Militarist). On Te Ika-a-Māui, the North Island of New Zealand, the Māori people established a complex society during this era. Structured into clans and extended families, their society thrived through bonds of solidarity that withstood conflicts and wars. Their resilience and martial prowess left an enduring legacy in the region.

Era 5 — Hawaiians (Agrarian). Commencing in the late 1700s, Hawaiian society entered a transformative phase. Political unification and increased interaction with foreign cultures reshaped their highly stratified social systems. Even as these changes unfolded, Hawaiians continued their stewardship of the land and sea, maintaining their deep connection to the natural world. Era 6 — New Zealanders (Scientist). The mid-20th century saw New Zealand embark on a journey of independence, distancing itself from the British imperial framework. Over subsequent decades, the country’s leaders expanded the social model inherited from the Seddon and Savage governments. Simultaneously, investments in cutting-edge technologies secured the nation’s energy independence, propelling New Zealand into the modern age of scientific innovation and self-reliance.
