Promise Mascot Agency invites the gamer to immerse himself in the life of Kaso-Machi, a cursed Japanese town. The protagonist, Michi, is in exile and must rebuild the city’s mascot agency. Key tasks include recruiting these creatures, resolving problems that arise due to their actions, and finding out the reasons for the protagonist’s exile. Communicating with Pinky, a living finger with a complex personality, is also part of the gameplay, as you strive to make your agency the best in the region through exploration and story events.

The mascots in Promise Mascot Agency are living creatures with their own dreams, fears, and occasional crises. You’ll have to deal with characters like Trororo, a cat with a pronounced interest in adult videos, or To-Fu, who constantly cries. To succeed, you’ll need to befriend these figures, guide them, and help them complete tasks while trying to avoid disasters. Sending your charges to work isn’t easy: they can get stuck in doors or start a fire in the kitchen during promotional events.

When things go wrong for the wards, Hero Cards, obtained by befriending the residents of Kaso-Machi, come to the rescue. Among the allies can be Captain Sign, a local superhero in the style of road signs, or Mama-San, a bar owner with a remarkable collection of latex. These personalities will help out in critical situations. Michi will move around the town in his K-Truck; initially this is an old car, but it can be improved by adding nitro, glider wings and even a mechanism for launching assistant Pinky.
