Those who want more severe tests can activate the mode of irreversible character death, which adds significant risk to the gameplay. Traveling around the world is complicated by changeable weather and the possibility of losing the carried cargo. In addition, it is necessary to monitor the basic survival indicators: hunger, thirst, health and strength during wanderings.

The title follows a design philosophy that prioritizes exploration over direct instructions. The simulator has a minimum of interface elements and menus, and the developers deliberately avoided pop-up goals or task lists that guide actions. Understanding the world and its mechanics is achieved through active exploration of locations, communication, reading available notes, and direct interaction with objects and characters.
