About The Game
Dreadborne Drifters is a dynamic two-dimensional platformer where you have to single-handedly defeat crowds of treacherous opponents. As the mysterious tramp, who is also part of the Inquisition agent, get ready to embark on an exciting journey that will become for you a real test of strength. Become a part of a dangerous adventure, perform ingenious attacks, enjoy an impressive variety of objects and perks, learn how to rationally use the main abilities of your hero and do not forget about the systematic modernization of weapons.You are a tramp, a wandering agent of the Inquisition, traveling through portals, wherever a threat to humanity arises, spreading holy light and wisdom through superior firepower. It will not be easy at first, but you will have more strength, faith and equipment to withstand greater threats and spread the influence of Dreadborne Citadel to protect the remnants of humanity.
You can choose between Enforcer, Dronemancer or Stalker. Enforcer is a cool character who can strike the ground, creating a powerful shock explosion, or can freeze in the air when launching a destructive rocket attack. In addition, Enforcer is the only class that can get an energy shield to increase survival. A dronemancer can control and command multiple drones, throw grenades and use a powerful death ray. Stalker is a cyber ninja-like character. Can explode enemy corpses, use temporary hacks and drain the souls of their enemies.
Each card is randomly generated during short loading. It contains basic structures and enemies, mini dungeons and various specific sights, sometimes tied to mini-events, to enrich your journey and provide an opportunity to receive additional rewards. Do not expect overly complex gameplay, as Dreadborne Drifters is designed in the «run and shoot» genre. That is why you will not come across something that will greatly slow down your progress.
Instead of using procedurally generated weapons (which was the original intention), the developers decided to implement the full configuration of the weapon, as you probably know from larger games, to allow players to create the weapon they want, instead to wait for a very rare fall of the subject. Various accessories can be attached to some weapons (well, to any weapon, but if you have the right amount of reputation and a certain amount of currency), and impose the attributes that you need.
