MONARK v1.0 - CODEX

MONARK is a Japanese role-playing game with a turn-based combat system. The project was developed by the Japanese studio Lancarse, known for the game Lost Dimension. Veterans of the Shin Megami Tensei series also played a key role in the development, including Ryutaro Ito one of the designers of Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner, Aya Nishitani and Kazunari Suzuki both of whom worked on Giten Megami Tensei Tokyo Mokushiroku, as well as composer Tsukasa Masuko, the artist responsible for the music, specifically in Digital Devil Story Tokyo Tensei. The game takes place in modern Japan. One day, the elite Shin Mikado Academy is surrounded by a mysterious and deadly fog. Some of the students trapped inside discover that they have gained the ability to enter an alternate dimension of demons, where power is formed by the power of the individual.

We play as a teenager who is assigned by the school board to solve the supernatural problems that arise in this situation. He will try to use his powers to free the people stuck in the school. Standing in his way are seven corrupt students with similar demonic abilities who are doing everything they can to prevent the Shin Mikado Academy from returning to normal. MONARK is quite a classically implemented jRPG. During the game, we explore the world, talk, complete quests and participate in many battles using a turn-based combat system in which we control up to six warriors, as well as summoned beasts. During encounters, the player can temporarily increase their hero’s insanity level, which enhances their attacks and abilities. However, with this mechanic, there is a risk that our protagonist will go on a rampage and start attacking everyone on the map, including allies. For success, we are rewarded with experience points, which we use to develop character statistics and unlock new skills. In the adventures, the hero is accompanied by one main companion, who is chosen from the four available in the game. Each of them offers a unique story path, so in order to know the whole story, we will have to go through the campaign many times.

However, interestingly, the authors have made available the ability to jump over repetitive sections that we previously completed with another companion. An unusual element of the game is the protagonist’s ego, which allows us to control beasts from another dimension. It consists of pride, anger, jealousy, lust, gluttony and laziness. By completing challenges, our decisions and psychological tests, we strengthen each of these traits, which affects the strength and type of monsters summoned, as well as the hero’s statistics and his ability to magically enhance the equipment of other team members.

How to Install the Game

1. Download the Full game MONARK-CODEX through torrent.
2. Mount the Full ISO-image game in the «UltraISO».
3. Install the game on you PC, wait for 100% installation.
4. Copy all files of the folder «CODEX» in game folder.
5. Lock the game folder in the Windows firewall.
6. Play!
