The protagonist of the game, Benedict Fox, is a self-proclaimed detective who decides to investigate the macabre murder of a young couple and the kidnapping of their child. To do this, the main character arrives at a huge, collapsing mansion where the victims lived. Fox is not investigating alone, he is constantly accompanied by a demon who gives him supernatural powers; thanks to him, our hero can penetrate the minds of the dead in order to look for valuable information and clues there. The detective must be on the lookout, for in the surreal realm known as the Abyss, people’s painful memories take physical form.
