Cage of Roses is a graphic novel that combines gothic romance with elements of dark mysticism, set in 19th century Germany. The plot revolves around Meike, a young woman from a once wealthy noble family who has suffered financial ruin. She faces an uncertain future, overshadowed by her parents' desperate attempts to regain their former status. However, fate intervenes in Cage of Roses when their carriage is attacked by bandits, resulting in the death of her parents and the main character, along with her maid Henrike, being forced to flee into the forest.
