Bionic Bay is a 2D platformer with a side view. The plot tells about the adventures of an ordinary person in an unusual world. The story is told without words and full-fledged cutscenes. The game has a dark and mysterious atmosphere. The project is divided into levels. Already completed maps can be launched again. Their selection is available through the main menu. The gameplay is built around unique physics and the hero’s ability to change places with some objects. This mechanic is used to overcome obstacles, fight opponents and solve puzzles. You can, for example, change locations with a stone during a free fall before colliding with the ground, and thereby avoid the death of the character. Obstacles and enemies are destroyed in a similar way.

When the protagonist uses this skill, the video game slows down for a couple of seconds. These moments give the user the opportunity to figure out their next steps. Here you can walk, run, jump, slide on inclined and steep surfaces, fall, and so on. You can control the movements using the keyboard and mouse. Gamepad support is also available. Bionic Bay can be called the spiritual successor of Limbo and Inside. It boasts highly detailed graphics, despite the pixel art. Among the features, one can also highlight the presence of huge levels. They are sci-fi locations. They sometimes have places with their own altered gravity.
