Hordes of Hunger is an arena-slasher RPG developed by Hyperstrange in which you play as Mira, a lone warrior facing off against a monstrous plague that has devastated her homeland. The game pits you against relentless waves of hungry beasts in a variety of 3D environments, from castles to ruined villages, where you’ll need to strategically use the terrain to survive. You can create custom loadouts by choosing different weapons and special attacks, then upgrade your character mid-game with powerful abilities like flaming weapons and lightning strikes. Between battles with hordes of enemies, you’ll complete missions to rescue survivors, each with their own story, gradually revealing the origins of the curse through fully voiced narrative elements. Gameplay involves surviving hordes of monsters while upgrading dozens of skills, with consistent progression elements that carry over from one game to the next.
