The Drifter is a criminal point-and-click thriller that tells about the resurrection of the hero Mick Carter a couple of moments before death. The story of the protagonist is very dramatic and difficult. He never managed to stay long in one place and at one job. Life put him in such a position that he had to return to his hometown.

Here he also failed to find peace, as he becomes a victim of a maniac. By some miracle, Myk came back to life. He was given a chance to find out who it was and why it was Myk who became his target. The visual style of the quest is inspired by the works of Stephen King, the tapes of John Carpenter and thrillers of the 70s and 80s. The game has many scenes of violence and blood. The story shows life in slums and landfills and raises the topics of drug and alcohol abuse.

Together with Carter, the player must untangle a mysterious tangle of events, full of intrigue and unexpected twists. Despite the fact that the game is made in a two-dimensional style, the main feature of The Drifter is the possibility of a 360-degree view. The gameplay is based on exploring, collecting and solving many puzzles. The developers try not to overload the player with the complexity of the puzzles in order to maintain the dynamics and high pace of the narrative.
