About The Game
Gobs and Gods asks a simple question. What if goblins stopped being the cannon fodder and started challenging the heavens. This 2024 RPG strategy open world game from Alexandre Gilotte and Thierry Gilotte lets you answer that with clubs, fire, and a lot of stubbornness. You start with a small, starving tribe. The world is vast and indifferent, but your goblins are clever and prolific. You will build camps, raid supply convoys, and eventually construct altars to draw the attention of gods. Not all gods appreciate the gesture.
The latest version adds a dynamic reputation system. Tribes and gods remember your actions. Help a forest spirit and the local wolves become neutral. Deface a shrine and that god sends plagues. Strategy involves managing your tribe hunger, morale, and internal politics. Goblins may form factions or challenge your leadership. Open world exploration includes climbing cliffs, tunneling under obstacles, and using goblin sized vehicles. RPG depth is in the emergent storytelling. Each goblin has a name, a personality, and a potential for heroism or betrayal. With no publisher overhead, the developers have poured all passion into the mechanics.
