About The Game

Darksiders Warmaster Edition is a remaster of the classic Darksiders, taking the original's style to a new, modern level. The gameplay remains unchanged, but the graphics have been significantly improved. Lighting, texture resolution, shadows, and effects have been reworked. The low frame rate has been replaced by a new frame rate of up to 60 fps, providing smoother movement and a sharper image. The player controls War, one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The balance of power on Earth has been upset because demons and angels united and destroyed the human race. Both sides blame War for the conflict. The hero decides to restore justice and discover what really happened.

The warrior uncovers the truth, killing the wards of Heaven and Hell who stand in his way. The player has two attacks: a primary and a secondary attack. The secondary attack is performed with a different weapon. Combinations of attacks are not possible, but dodging and blocking are possible. After blocking incoming damage, the hero counterattacks. Between battles, the character explores the locations. To advance, they must jump across platforms and solve puzzles. The main goal of each level is to find new equipment that allows them to reach previously inaccessible areas.

Along the way, the player will encounter the Guardian. To reach this NPC, they must complete several tasks. Missions are similar to side quests that do not affect the storyline. They require killing enemies using a specific method, protecting allied companions, and defeating all enemies within a time limit. Completing the required side quests rewards the player with many souls. In Champions of Darkness Wrath of War Remastered, the local currency can be spent on first aid kits and new moves.
