Bartlow's Dread Machine - CODEX + Update v1.003

Bartlow’s Dread Machine — is a shooter game, the action of which is built into an alternative steampunk reality. The game was developed by studio Beep Games whose portfolio includes a 3D platformer VooDoo Vince Remastered and a puzzle game called Light Tracer and Tribetoy studio authors of the Bow to Blood series. Bartlow’s Dread Machine game tells an alternative version of the story, according to which in 1907, long before the heyday of electronics, inventor Arthur Harrington Bartlow created the first arcade machine. Although the machine was intended to be used for entertainment, it often harmed users, so it did not gain popularity and therefore lost its popularity in the darkness of history along with its author. However, the notes left by Bartlow and the fragments of the machine should have allowed the Beep Games team to faithfully reproduce the machine in this video game.

The game takes us to the United States from the beginning of the 20th century. During the game we play as agents of the secret service, whose task is to save President Theodore Roosevelt from the hands of his kidnappers — anarcho-satanists. When outsiders are involved, not only the fate of the president but also the future of millions of American citizens depends on the success of the mission. Bartlow’s Dread Machine begins by choosing one of eight agents, each with individual abilities and different weapons. In addition, there are alternate versions of historical figures waiting to be unlocked here, such as electric shooter Annie Oakley or General George Caster, who acts as a zombie here.

During the game, we observe the action from a bird’s eye view — sometimes the camera presents events a little more from the side, and in other cases it stands right above the heads of the main characters. During the game, we move along clearly visible paths and destroy hordes of enemies standing in our way. We have at our disposal both conventional weapons, such as shotguns or rifles, as well as a more original arsenal, among other things, an electric cannon, designed by Nikola Tesla, or even a rocket launcher, created by Maria Sklodowska-Curie. From time to time, we can also take over the management of vehicles or machines from that era, where new cars are still at the forefront. The game sends characters through different locations. The agents visit, among others, New York’s Central Park, San Francisco, the newly built Panama Canal, the South American jungle, or the Great Plains to the north.

Bartlow’s Dread Machine can be played alone or in local co-op. Breadlow’s Dread Machine’s graphic design resembles a mechanical puppet show. Its individual elements look as if they are made of tin, the scenography is laid out before our eyes, and the characters move along certain paths. The game continues to the accompaniment of a memorable soundtrack, for which Steve Kirk used the instruments of that era — a hammer, cymbals, harmonies or even early electronic gadgets.

How to Install the Game

1. Download the Full game Bartlows.Dread.Machine-CODEX through torrent.
2. Mount the Full ISO-image game in the «UltraISO».
3. Install the game on you PC, wait for 100% installation.
4. Download & install Update v1.003, in game folder.
5. Copy all files of the folder «CODEX» in game folder.
6. Lock the game folder in the Windows firewall.
7. Play!
