Freedom Fighters — is an action game with an ambitious storyline developed by the IO Interactive team, who brought us the Hitman stealth series. The story tells us about an ordinary plumber Christopher Stone, who joined the ranks of the rebels in order to recapture his homeland from the invaders. The latter are the Russian invaders who came to America to conquer it. And to a greater extent they succeeded: everywhere the banners of the Red Army are hanging, Russian soldiers are walking around the streets, swearing with Slavic abuse.

In terms of gameplay, the Freedom Fighters project is full of classic mechanics third-person view, shooting from behind cover, stealth levels all of this is already well known to us from hundreds of similar titles. However, the game has an interesting feature the gamer is given the opportunity to assemble his own group of rebels under his command, whose members will impeccably follow orders. For example, one of the charges can be ordered to flank the enemy, the second to hide behind cover, and the third to cover the rear.

On the way to completing the main mission to destroy the enemy, you and your companions will go the hard way through the jungle of secondary tasks. Interestingly, all the levels are linked. As an example, we can take a location where it is necessary to undermine the enemy’s runway so that the airborne equipment does not have the opportunity to soar into the sky. To do this, you will need to go to the next game zone, find explosives there, then go back and plant bombs along the perimeter of the runway. Despite the linearity of the levels, it is possible to solve the tasks assigned to the player in several not always obvious ways.
