A game Brukel — based on real memories of a 92-year-old grandmother. Take a picture of what was left of her abandoned childhood home to uncover the dark, traumatic events that she experienced during the largest armed conflict of the 20th century. Independent developer Bob De Schutter is working on Brukel, a Gone Home-style game based on the recollections of his 92-year-old grandmother from World War II.
An elderly woman was born on a farm in Belgium. Calm childhood was disrupted by the beginning of the largest armed conflict of the 20th century — the woman’s house became a strategic point, which was intercepted alternately by the Germans and the British. The hero of the game, many years after the end of the war, goes to the great estate of the De Schutter family, but ends up in prison (supernatural elements will appear). During the game, we will reveal the secrets of the abandoned building — photographing various objects, we activate the stories told by the most 92-year-old girl.
Your main task is to find the necessary item and take a photo of it on the phone. If everything is done correctly, you will find out the story associated with it. Everything changes the arrival of night. The stories are getting worse and the ghosts of the past are resurrected. There is no one to fight with.
