Exoplanet First Contact is a single-player, story-driven, third-person RPG with survival elements set in a cosmic western universe. In the center of the narrative is Jack Sharp the shooter-doppelganger of Indiana Jones, who found himself in a vast alien environment, where you need to do research and try to survive. Finding himself on an unknown planet, with nothing, space cowboy Sharp sets out on a dangerous adventure to hunt down the thugs who have captured his ship and left to die alone. C’Tharsis is a hostile wasteland, polluted by greed and violence, where lawlessness reigns, will serve as a place for revenge of the protagonist.

Upon first acquaintance with Exopanet First Contact, the player is greeted with a simple quest to find pants. This style of crude humor, mixed with practical tips for survival, turns out to be the core of the gameplay. Ahead of the gamer is waiting for many meetings with both ordinary characters and enemies, with whom they have to enter into a fierce confrontation. By default, hand-to-hand combat is used here to save ammunition, which is expensive and in short supply. Dialogue and decisions are based on text, which opens up a huge window of opportunity for creative quest chains and difficult decisions that can affect the outcome of the game.

There are tons of inventory slots and tons of materials. As events unfold, enemies become more difficult, forcing players to wait for Jack’s health to replenish between encounters. In close combat, you can dodge enemy attacks and retaliate. Later, more ranged weapons can be found, which can be installed in the slot on the thigh or in the two slots on the back. The Shotgun is the most powerful weapon available to gamers.
