COGEN Sword of Rewind is a fast-paced side-scrolling action-platformer set in a sci-fi setting. The game takes place on Earth in the distant future. You will play the role of the militant heroine Kohaku, who is trying to find out everything about the city of Kogen. As she travels, she will be able to take advantage of the amazing Ouroboros system, which is activated at the moment of the death of the heroine, allowing her to go back in time and fight opponents without fear of losing. The full Japanese title of the game is Cogen Ootori Kohaku to Toki no Ken. So the official English title of Cogen Sword of Rewind is noticeably simplified. Kohaku Ootori is the name of the main character, but the sword is her main weapon, with which she crushes rivals, reflects enemy shots and uses time-related abilities.

Cogen is a stylish action game where Kohaku can briefly reverse time using his sword and a mechanic called Ouroboros System activates at the moment of death. The action takes place on Earth in the distant future, where the heroine will have to uncover the secrets of the city of Cogen. The project is clearly inspired by games like Rockman Zero and Azure Striker Gunvolt from Inti Creates. One of the significant parts of Cogen Sword of Rewind is the music composed by Motoi Sakuraba, whose style is well recognized in the trailer. Previously, this composer was responsible for the soundtracks for the series Tales of, Star Ocean, Golden Sun, Dark Souls and others.
