Soundfall is a hybrid of several genres as it combines elements of a roguelike, shooter and rhythm game. The game was developed by Drastic Games, an independent studio founded by former employees of Epic Games. The protagonist of Soundfall is Melody, a young audiophile who finds himself in a musical land called Symphony. The main character must not only find her way home, but also protect the world from a dark force known as Discord. In Soundfall, the action is shown in an isometric view. At first glance, the gameplay does not differ from the scheme characteristic of a roguelike. Throughout the game, we travel through procedurally generated locations, fight against hordes of enemies with melee weapons and firearms, and acquire increasingly powerful equipment.

Compared to other games of this type, the described title differs in that everything happens in the rhythm of music, and the world presented here reacts not only to individual songs, but also to individual melodies. In addition, we have to adapt to the rhythm of the songs, trying to perform attacks and dodge incoming blows, for which we receive additional rewards. Soundfall can be played as a solo game or with up to three people, online or locally in cooperation. Soundfall is based on Unreal Engine 4 technology. Three-dimensional graphics are designed in a colorful, cartoon style. The gameplay is accompanied by a dynamic, trance soundtrack.
