COPS 2170 The Power of Law — is a tactical squad-based strategy game with RPG elements set in a futuristic cyberpunk world. It is a prequel to Paradise Cracked, an earlier game by the same company. In the game, you take control of Kathy, a new officer from the academy who is aiming for a good career in the police. You will control her as your protagonist and recruit additional partners to complete several missions, which usually involve battles in future urban areas against several factions and gangs in the city. As the game progresses, a plot begins to surface involving a deranged criminal who seeks to bring the city to its knees.

You can control up to 6 characters and additional reserve characters, each with their own statistics and equipment, and give them orders on turns in squads. Since you are part of the police force, there is no resource management and equipment availability is determined by your rank, which depends on the conditions in which you complete each mission. The game uses a fully polygonal engine and features branching mission objectives and different outcomes depending on your actions in the game.
