Steelrising is a third-person action RPG. The story takes place in a parallel world, ours, during the French Revolution. King Louis XVI is gathering a whole army of mechanized warriors who must crush the uprising and stop the revolution. At first, he succeeds, until a girl named Aegis appears, who is the most perfect humanoid mechanism. She has not only an appearance almost like a real woman, but also feelings, although she was created as a weapon of destruction. Seeing the tyranny of the king and the oppression of ordinary people, she voluntarily decides to take the side of the protesters and help destroy the army of robots led by the king.

True friends and accomplices will help the heroine in this, who will support her not only in words, but also in battles. In general, the story is thoughtful and will captivate players from the first minutes with its bright characters and a completely unusual game world. The main character has all sorts of combat skills and abilities. So, about 7 types of weapons are built into it, both melee and ranged, and each can be pumped as you progress through the story.

Despite the colossal combat capabilities, many issues can be resolved peacefully through a non-linear dialogue system where important choices can be made. In general, the game promises to be non-linear, where decisions are made by the player himself. The world is open for exploration, namely the player will be able to navigate through an alternative Paris of the late 18th century.

It will be possible to meet both recognizable landmarks and completely new buildings that did not exist in reality. Separately, it is worth highlighting the block quest system, which has been significantly improved in comparison with the previous creations of the studio, where this aspect was often criticized. Now all secondary activities are unique and carry a small storyline. In addition, they have their own reward, often equipment that can only be obtained in this way. All tasks, including story and side ones, have a non-linear structure and several ways of passing.
