The protagonist is a five-year-old boy named Shinnosuke Nohara. He and his family go on a short vacation to Aso, a Japanese city located in Kumamoto Prefecture, on the island of Kiusiu. Arriving there, Shinnosuke meets a strange old man who gives him a camera. The boy begins to use it, exploring a new area for him, but soon notices that strange things are happening around. These suspicions are confirmed when one day he encounters a large dinosaur accompanied by an old man.

It turns out that this man is a mad scientist, and our hero is drawn into his latest intrigues.
