Far Away From Home takes you to a world where scientific progress has led to a terrible catastrophe. Researchers have built a hadron collider that affects the entire planet in scale. After it was turned on, rifts suddenly appeared in space, which sucked people towards them. A group of friends and the main character named Simon fall into one of these anomalous zones. Around them, they see, it would seem, the same area, but now there are no people left here. Now the characters have to find out what happened here.
