The setting in Above Snakes shows an alternate universe of the Wild West, where an undead uprising begins in 1883. On one of the dark nights, not far from Corpse Creek, there is a fiery rain and the fall of a bright green meteorite. Due to the impact of a massive space object on the surface of the earth, a mysterious metamorphosis occurs with the dead and they begin to come to life, crawling out of their own graves. People are trying to survive in the current conditions, fighting off evil and aggressive zombies. The main character is a brave girl living among lonely tribes of Indians.

• Engage in the study of an isometric map, moving as a protagonist with a top view.
• Look for useful items for survival, as well as craft the necessary things using the materials found.
• Go hunting or fishing to get food for subsistence, trying not to attract the attention of the dead.
• Develop and build your own base where you can place buildings and defenses. In the camp it will be possible to rest after sorties or fight with attacking enemies that will periodically besiege the protagonist’s house.
• Create your own farms by growing crops and gardening.
• Explore the environment and search for the secrets of the cursed land in rogue-light style, where random events occur or encounters with monsters that you can shoot back with a bow.
