About The Game

Cobalt Core is a sci-fi roguelike with a unique single-axis combat system. Your job is to manage your team using the cards accurately. Strategic choices will have to be made, such as raising shields to protect the ship, evading incoming missiles and artillery fire, or launching pre-emptive strikes to disable opponents. The combat system is designed along a single axis, adding a new level of depth to the tactical decision-making process. You must outsmart your opponents and stay one step ahead of the ensuing chaos on your way to the Cobalt Core. A new approach to tactics is introduced, requiring you to evade attacks and target weak spots using a single-axis combat system. It’s a high-stakes game of cat and mouse where the ability to outwit your enemy is the key to survival.

Cobalt Core offers the freedom to customize your decks with hundreds of cards and multiple upgrade paths, ensuring no two playthroughs are the same. As you progress, you will be able to discover the perfect combination of cards, and it will take the deck from merely powerful to overwhelmingly dominant. A unique feature is the diverse crew members, each with their own distinct style and personal story. You can choose up to three crew members and mix up their decks, giving you the opportunity to explore how these characters interact with each other.
