About The Game

FrostBound is a tactical hybrid with elements of roguelike and tower defense mechanics, where the primary goal is to defend the last bastion of civilization from the relentless aggression of enemies in a world of eternal cold. Resisting opponents, with over seventy variations to choose from, requires deep strategic calculation. Every action, whether deploying units or initiating an attack, must be the result of deliberate steps. The harsh climate dictates its own rules: a significant portion of warriors abandon the battlefield immediately after a single strike, so only the most fortified structures and the most resilient fighters can maintain a protracted standoff on the front lines.

The key to an effective defense is the skillful use of an impressive arsenal of five hundred cards. This opens up vast opportunities for tactical exploration and the creation of original defensive configurations. To survive, it is necessary to skillfully combine the abilities of the four represented factions, allowing for effective strategic combinations. It is this interaction between cards and buildings that offers the chance to end the eternal winter and save the last island of civilization, frozen in ice.

The player has a dozen starting characters at their disposal, each with an individual talent capable of dramatically impacting the outcome of battle. Allocating characters to one of four distinct factions and combining their powers expands the player's arsenal of tactical options. Additionally, over a hundred upgradable buildings provide tools for transforming the battle arena, and the mechanics of elite cards guarantee significant buffs during battle.
