About The Game

Xenonauts 2 game offers users to take part in a fierce war against an alien invasion. In an alternative universe, aliens invaded Earth at the height of the Cold War, when advanced technology was not yet in service with humans. Humanity turned out to be practically defenseless in the face of an alien threat, and only your team can give a worthy rebuff.

NOTE. Uploaded version: 30 June 2026 [v7.25.2]. This is Full Release and latest version of game. The game is already Packaged in Installer and ready to run the game after install, read the instruction.

Begin your mission with the construction of a base from the territory of which you can send fighters to intercept or send a command for tasks. Shoot down alien planes with the weapons available to you, and then begin the ground operation. You need to completely clear the territory of the ship’s fall from aliens, after which the remains of an extraterrestrial vessel can be transferred to the base.

Having acquired alien technology, collect scientists to study the materials obtained. Over time, you will be able to combine earthly weapons with alien technology to make it more effective and deadly. Continue your struggle until the end, until you completely eliminate the threat of the takeover of our planet.

    Milestone 5.29.0 STABLE Released! 
    This is another hotfix for Milestone 5 that fixes a couple of gameplay issues. Please do report any bugs you encounter on the bug reporting subforums and we'll do our best to look into them!

    Gameplay Changes:
    Eternal Autopsy research project no longer requires completion of Eternal Interrogation project to unlock.

    Ladders are now crushable by vehicles and the Colossus armour.


    Bugfixes:
    Fixed another instance of the doors getting visually out of sync with their gameplay state (and appearing open / closed when the reverse was true).

    Fixed another instance where units could suffer permanent accuracy loss after a mission (related to stacking battlefield injury penalties).

    Fixed being unable to walk through certain variants of the shipping container.

    This update contains the fixes from 5.35.0 Experimental and 5.36.0 Experimental combined together.

    Bug Fixes:

    Fixed a crash in Dogfight that would occur if a Xenonaut Interceptor was shot down while you were hovering over its dodge buttons.

    Fixed what we believe to be the source of a number of mysterious crashes in the Armory screen, which appears to be a bug related to placing HEVY ammo back into the weapon selection interface on top of itself, causing it to become "stuck". Trying to retrieve the ammo would then cause a cascade of issues and various parts of the Armory would stop working correctly, but any crash would usually only occur when attempting to leave the screen.

    Fixed a rare crash that could occur in the Aircraft screen when viewing a Dropship and reordering the soldier list.
    Fixed a rare crash that could occur during the autosave process.
    Fixed an issue where the Geoscape "New Projects Available" popup would sometimes incorrectly appear before the research report that was supposed to trigger it.
    Fixed an issue where the camera at the start of a tactical mission could end up showing a blank black space (as the camera was not correctly accepting scroll input in the last few moments of the loading screen).
    Fixed an issue where combat shields would sometimes not visibly disappear from a soldier model if they were destroyed.
    Fixed an issue where moving soldiers would sometimes not interrupt their movement correctly after spotting an alien while turning midway through their movement.
    Fixed an issue where the HP/armor bars above the heads of alien units would not appear after loading a save if the camera was above level 0.
    Fixed strange UI behavior reported by some users when they had a controller or joystick connected.
    Fixed an issue where the game would not load correctly for some Linux users.
