Space Scavenger — talks about a mining ship that is suddenly pulled into a black hole. The gameplay is a journey lasting 12 levels, scattered across three galaxies. Each mission is procedurally generated, so no two playthroughs are the same. Levels require players to explore local planets and defeat all enemies in order to advance to the next stage. There is a noticeable difficulty curve between galaxies, and to make life harder for players, the gameplay involves permanent death without saving.

Space Scavenger has a variety of enemies. However, the main interest here lies in the modular system, and the customization looks smooth, which provides a lot of flexibility when designing ships. This is only weakened by the placement of the weapon, as these modules cannot be rotated like other parts, so they cannot fire in the selected direction. Each campaign starts with a mining ship, but later on you will find a number of modules with which you can customize the ship.

This provides many benefits, such as increased size, allowing additional modules to be attached along with increased health. There are also a variety of weapons to choose from, from heavy artillery to crossbows. Some have limited ammo or reload times, so caution is advised when using them. In the game, the levels are filled with meteorites, but some of them contain crystals. Depending on how heavily embedded they are, they can be obtained by attack, but some require heavier weapons, and once acquired, they become in-game currency. It can be used when visiting shops that open after the completion of the first galaxy, which allows you to buy new modules or restore health.
