The events of the game take place in a laboratory complex, in which the main character ended up. The main character, a girl named Chell, did not end up in this complex by chance — she must test a device that opens portals. in this way, tests are passed, during which the heroine must find ways out of situations that would simply not be overcome without the portal.

The plot is the Portal, and the gameplay in Portal is much more important. And he, by the way, is based on numerous puzzles that you just have to solve as you progress through the game. The puzzles themselves are mostly based on physics. You will open portals and use them to try to move around the location to the desired point. The locations are very complicated and it will not be so easy to figure out exactly how to get through them.

But it’s worth starting with a mention that there are only two types of portals that can be opened using a device. The first portal is blue and is reserved exclusively for the heroine’s entrance, while the second portal, orange, is used as the protagonist’s exit point. Moreover, if at the first levels you have to use only the simplest portal placement schemes, then after the middle of the game you will have to place portals in the most cunning ways, using physics, the character’s kinetic energy, and more. In total, the game offers to go through almost two dozen levels, but on each of them you will find unique puzzles and the most unusual ways to solve them.
