Freedom Planet 2 — along with improved visuals and updated character designs, the platformer also features a new item system. Using golden gems, players can buy items and also modify the potion bottle to increase damage, gain more life, and so on. There is also a new defense button for parrying and blocking attacks. Revives have also been added to allow the use of an extra life to respawn in place. By granting a short period of invincibility, you will not regain full health upon respawn. But it’s handy when you almost beat the boss.
