About The Game

HOWL is a side-scroller whose main feature is crowd simulation. Game mechanics focus on the shooter component, exploration of territories and puzzles. On your way there are many obstacles and monsters that can literally run over the heads of their relatives just to get to the hero. A crowd of brutal creatures is capable of building living ladders to climb onto high platforms. You will need to study the terrain and the features of the landscape in order to know how to retreat or drive the horde into a trap. Although there are a variety of weapons available in Khowl, they should only be used in extreme situations and if the encounter is with multiple enemies.

HOWL gameplay relies on a survival element. You need to constantly be in search of food, equipment, ammunition and other useful items. Much emphasis is placed on surround sound. Always listen to your surroundings and investigate the situation carefully. Sounds can tell you what dangers are ahead or how best to avoid a conflict. In the same way, it can work against you: gunshots or noise will draw a crowd of bloodthirsty creatures in your direction. The path will not be easy, but thoughtful action, tactics and courage can provide a way out of even the most hopeless situation.
