About The Game

Onimusha Warlords Remastered takes place during the bloody Sengoku period in Japan. It was an era of warring provinces that lasted from the 2nd century to the 15th century. The updated version received improvements in graphics, controls, and support for 16:9 mode. Onimusha Warlords tells the story of Samanosuke Akechi. The guy responds to the request of his friend Yuki and arrives at the Saito clan castle. People are disappearing in the girl’s house. The protagonist finds out that underground demons from another world are killing everyone and taking them with them. One day, the princess herself is kidnapped, and Akechi is wounded. Otherworldly forces resurrect Samanosuke, rewarding him with a magic glove with a sphere.

The item absorbs demonic souls, giving its owner new powers. Armed with a glove, the hero will be able to kill the demons, preventing their plans to capture all of Japan. The gameplay is based on exploring the castle and surrounding areas — streets and abandoned buildings. Here the player finds keys and items that allow him to open new locations. The notes found allow him to learn the story of the clan and the mysterious glove created by it. This will help in the process of solving puzzles. The game also has charades, in which he has to build a logical chain of numbers.

The protagonist can read the last thoughts of the dead and their experiences. Saving is provided at checkpoints. By exchanging demonic souls, the user upgrades magic spheres and weapons, improves the properties of plants, and turns standard arrows into fire arrows. The user can improve the protection of the ward, increase health, mana with the help of found armor and special stones. Upgraded equipment makes swords more powerful, enhances the character’s magical attack. For example, the hero will be able to use a katana with a long electric chain, make fire attacks or air whirlwinds with a two-handed sword. This will help in the battle with the last boss. In the underworld, the player will be able to find a special blade that will allow him to defeat the main enemy.
