About The Game

VARLET takes the player into the lives of a group of high school students who are forced to confront a monster born from their intense desire for recognition. The plot begins with the mysterious disappearance of a popular idol, an event that confirms a local urban legend and sets off a series of strange phenomena at the school. When one character's desperate desire for approval spirals out of control, an otherworldly world is created. This allows the creature from within to take over the mind and body of its host. This entity begins to act in reality without any restrictions. Meanwhile, the protagonist, a transfer student, finds himself at the center of all this, becoming the temporary leader of an unofficial problem-solving club.

The core gameplay of VARLET is built around unique combat and personality systems. Battles take place in a turn-based format on a timeline, with allies and enemies taking turns. Success depends on the strategic use of mechanics such as interrupting skills to gain extra turns, breaking through defenses to destroy enemy barriers, and disrupting their powerful attacks. Outside of combat, a sophisticated personality system tracks every action, from eavesdropping on private conversations to reading found records, determining the true nature of the protagonist.
