About The Game

Outbreak Island is a unique blend of open world survival horror and detective adventure, challenging players to stay alive while uncovering a deep conspiracy. You play as Robert Chapman, a detective who arrives on the isolated Erlsen Island following a mysterious outbreak and a cryptic message from his missing father. Cut off from the outside world, your investigation quickly turns into a desperate battle for existence against bloodthirsty, mutated creatures and other dangerous survivors. The 20 square kilometer map is an open sandbox environment, encouraging players to explore abandoned towns and landmarks, scavenging for vital supplies like food, fuel, medicine, and ammunition.

Survival goes beyond just shooting. Players must establish and defend their base at their father's old farm, restoring and upgrading it to serve as a secure refuge and workshop. Key mechanics include crafting weapons and equipment, mastering skills like Farming, Gathering, and Hunting to manage scarce resources, and utilizing your vehicle for essential logistics. The island's core mystery revolves around a strange, mystical beam that appears nightly, reactivating old machinery granting access to valuable loot in previously sealed bunkers but also awakening the island's most horrifying monsters.
