About The Game

Live Hard Die Hard is a tactical simulation RPG where you command humanity's last remaining special forces unit against an alien invasion threatening the extinction of the year 20XX. You have exactly four weeks to prepare your squad for the final assault on the enemy terminal core, alternating between base management and expedition phases. Combat unfolds in real time, with soldiers fighting autonomously, and you issue crucial orders calling for retreats, deploying reinforcements, planning artillery strikes, and activating skills to turn the tide. Casualty management is crucial, as wounded soldiers must be evacuated for treatment, straining the remaining forces and threatening to break the line if you push too hard.

Defeated aliens become valuable resources after dismemberment, yielding random side effects that provide unpredictable battlefield advantages that can be stacked and combined. In addition to physical damage, soldiers accumulate mental stress from combat, requiring you to maintain morale with appropriate rewards and care. Customize your ultimate strike force using each warriors unique skills, body modifications, and genomes, enhanced through research, support devices, and squad management that unlocks new commander abilities. Every strategic choice whether prioritizing healing or alien harvesting, attack or defense shapes your squad and determines humanity's survival. The tactical depth of real-time gameplay combines with resource management and roguelike randomization thanks to the Side Effects system.
