About The Game

Dreadway sends a team of gamers on a journey by locomotive through a post-nuclear world. The main objective is to keep the train moving. The train requires a constant supply of fuel, forcing the group to make frequent stops in various locations. These forays lead to abandoned buildings located along the tracks. Survival depends on coordinated expeditions to collect valuable materials and then return to the mobile shelter.

The squad must work as a unit, extracting resources from these dangerous zones. Forays primarily involve exploring underground bunkers in search of supplies. From a first-person perspective, players in Dreadway search confined spaces, finding junk, crafting components, and useful items like crowbars and flashlights. The bunkers pose threats beyond their dilapidated structures, including a variety of traps that must be disarmed or bypassed. Furthermore, creatures spawned by the apocalypse roam the corridors.

They pose a constant danger, requiring careful movement or direct confrontation. Proper resource management determines success or failure. Every item found has potential value, and this gameplay mechanic forces players to decide whether to use it for crafting or as fuel for the locomotive's engine. A limited inventory further complicates the decision during each raid on the shelter. A successful expedition culminates in the return of the loot to the train. The acquired assets are used to upgrade the train, preparing the squad for the next procedurally generated destination.
