Echoes of Aincrad is an action RPG set in the Sword Art Online universe, where staying within a colossal floating castle becomes a brutal test of endurance. The Aincrad setting combines picturesque landscapes with the constant threat of death, forcing players to carefully consider every encounter. Instead of a predetermined protagonist, the central role is played by a player-created avatar, whose appearance and combat specialization depend on personal preference.
