About The Game

Trail and Error is a cooperative survival simulator in which a group of travelers attempts to overcome the deadly obstacles of the uncharted frontier. A team of up to four players must take control of a wooden wagon and deliver it to its destination in one piece. A physics-based movement model transforms any mundane task, like loading supplies or overcoming bumps, into an unpredictable challenge. Misfortunes befall the adventurers constantly, from sudden vehicle breakdowns to abrupt weather changes. Food shortages, rapidly spreading diseases, and harsh climates force them to make complex, split-second decisions. Immersive voice communication, taking into account the distance between characters, makes coordination hectic and emotional.

Completing a single run takes approximately two hours, offering a concentrated dose of adrenaline and fun. Each expedition is randomly generated, forcing you to adapt to new environments in four different biomes. It's the unpredictability of the environment that makes Trail and Error a memorable adventure, where the main danger isn't cataclysms, but the selfishness of your comrades. Saving a comrade drowning in a swamp or deciding to abandon them to save the remaining food becomes a true test of friendship. Constantly monitoring the health of your charges and distributing medical supplies requires teamwork, which often crumbles under a deluge of mutual accusations. Ultimate success depends solely on the ability to find compromise in the most critical situations.
