About The Game
Hitchhiker A Mystery Game — is an atmospheric first-person adventure in which you take on the role of a hitchhiker. A strange journey awaits you in which you are unable to remember who you are and where you are going. Something in your recent past has stolen your memory but what. The highway offers clues from a matchbox hidden in your armrest, a photo in your glove box, billboards, and crows along the road. Your driver, a farmer, wants to help you, and his personal memories open an unexpected window into your backstory. We play a hitchhiker with amnesia. He does not know his identity, the purpose of his journey, or the reason for his memory loss. The farmer who chose him is trying to help him regain his memories. The source of the clue to the hero’s past is largely the highway.Even potentially insignificant, such as a box of matches or billboards by the side of the road, can have hidden meanings that are important to the story. Even the stories told by his companion relate to the past of the hitchhiker. Over time, the protagonist discovers that the driver is not entirely honest with him. This means that he has to question almost everything he thought he knew about himself. The action of the game is limited to the interior of the car. In Hitchhiker, the player’s role is very limited. Observing the world from the first person, we find various elements that can be associated with our past, both in the car and in the view outside the window. Of course, during dialogues, we have the opportunity to choose the right line to steer the conversation in the right direction. The game offers stylized graphics in warm pastel colors.
