About The Game

After nearly four years of development, developers at Studio Daimon have announced that Path of the Midnight Sun is now available worldwide on Steam. Successfully funded through Kickstarter in 2019, Path of the Midnight Sun is a 30-hour adventure made with love for classic JRPGs like Fire Emblem. Players will join one of three main characters as they fight to save the continent of Arvium from the threat of the ancient Demon King. Having ruled as a tyrant for decades, the Demon King was eventually sealed away. Now, after 21 years of peace, complacency and tragedy are intertwined as the Demon King’s vessel — Lady Farathras — becomes involved in a violent event that calls into question her ability to contain an ancient power.

In Path of the Midnight Sun, communication and the ability to fight are closely intertwined. Building strong relationships with each of the secondary characters hone their abilities in many of the game’s tactical battles. Outside of battle, players must cook, craft, and care for their comrades. Building strong bonds is key, but players can connect deep enough to unlock romance, creating a particularly effective bond in the heat of battle. Path of the Midnight Sun is set against the backdrop of a richly animated 2.5 world. Every character, enemy, background, and asset has been hand-drawn, creating a vibrant visual experience. This is backed up by a cast of professional voice actors who have voiced over 50 characters in the game with passionate and impactful spoken dialogue.
