Megastore Simulator is a first-person economic strategy game in which the main goal is to transform a modest retail outlet into a sprawling two-story complex. The commercial space can be continuously expanded through the acquisition of new sections, including the option to develop a second floor. The freedom to arrange departments, covering clothing, toys, food, and electronics, is complemented by tools for detailed interior customization. Customer traffic is attracted through advertising campaigns and promotions, while customer satisfaction is increased by organizing a returns counter and interacting with non-player characters that react to the environment.

The successful operation of a business directly depends on competent personnel management and streamlined logistics. In Megastore Simulator, you must hire cashiers, bakers, and storekeepers, monitoring their productivity and work shifts. Organizing warehouse processes involves the use of specialized equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The manager's daily responsibilities include a variety of tasks:
