Ebenezer and the Invisible World lets you take on the role of one Ebenezer Scrooge, the once miserly character from Charles Dickens' timeless classic A Christmas Carol. Featuring breathtaking handcrafted artwork, this 2D metroidvania transports you to a reimagined Victorian fantasy world. In this enchanting world, Scrooge transforms from a miser into an unlikely hero. The story takes place in steampunk London, dominated by wealthy industrialist Caspar Malthus and his formidable personal guard. To thwart the sinister machinations of Malthus and save the city from certain destruction, Ebenezer Scrooge will have to resort to the help of ghostly allies ghosts. Each of these ghostly companions has unique abilities that allow them to explore the dark corners of London and discover the malevolent influence of the mysterious Dark Spirit.

At the same time, an army of restless ghosts adds to the sense of urgency. Do you have the courage to stand up to Caspar Malthus and stop his nefarious plans before it’s too late? Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey is complemented by the colorful characters he meets, each with their own fascinating story and quests. Their abilities become invaluable as they journey through Victorian-era London, divided into many districts that hide the closely guarded secrets of the Malthus family. Wandering ghosts play a key role in the development of gameplay, offering unusual ways to move around the city. Whether it’s trapezoidal performers Rose and Flossie Reid, intrepid mountain climber Victoria Peake, or enigmatic professor of time and space Hayley Hall, each of the Motion Wraiths has unique skills to aid them in both exploring and combating the hordes of Restless Wraiths that plague London.
